This project was a comprehensive UX/UI case study, focused on the redesign and modernization of a football tracking app widely used in Costa Rica. The existing app had major usability issues, including poor navigation, outdated UI, and limited accessibility, affecting user engagement. The goal was to enhance the user experience by implementing a data-driven approach, improving usability, and creating an intuitive interface that aligns with modern UX standards.
The project followed a full UX design process, starting with User Research and Competitive Analysis. Using user interviews, surveys, and heatmaps, I identified pain points such as confusing navigation, lack of personalization, and difficulty in accessing real-time stats. To address these, I applied Jakob Nielsen’s UX Heuristics to streamline information architecture, reduce cognitive load, and prioritize key functionalities.
Key UX solutions included:
•Redesigned navigation flow, reducing user confusion and increasing engagement.
• Improved accessibility, ensuring better contrast, readability, and touch-friendly elements.
• Personalized features, such as custom team tracking and notifications, making the app more engaging.
Once the research phase was completed, I moved into wireframing and prototyping, creating multiple low-fidelity sketches before refining the designs into high-fidelity interactive prototypes using Figma. These prototypes underwent A/B testing with real users to measure usability improvements. Feedback-driven iterations optimized information hierarchy, improved microinteractions, and enhanced responsiveness across devices.
Additionally, I developed a comprehensive UI Design System, ensuring visual consistency across the app. The final prototype offers a highly engaging, efficient, and scalable user experience, modernizing football tracking in Costa Rica and elevating fan engagement.
This project was a deep-dive UX/UI case study, where I conceptualized, designed, and prototyped a fully interactive solution to modernize football tracking in Costa Rica. The goal was to enhance usability, streamline navigation, and improve user engagement through a data-driven UX approach.
The process began with User Research, where I conducted interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis to identify user frustrations and behavioral patterns. Insights from this phase shaped the information architecture and feature prioritization, ensuring that design decisions were rooted in real user needs.
I then moved into wireframing and prototyping, testing multiple iterations before developing high-fidelity, interactive prototypes in Figma. This process included:
•A/B Testing and usability evaluations, refining navigation and microinteractions.
•Developing a scalable design system, ensuring UI consistency across screens.
•Optimizing accessibility, improving contrast, touch targets, and responsiveness.
By incorporating user feedback at every stage, I created an intuitive and engaging platform that enhances the way football fans interact with match data. The final prototype represents a fully optimized, research-backed UX/UI solution that aligns with modern usability principles and best practices.
This project was a comprehensive UX/UI case study, requiring deep user research, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making. By conducting competitive analysis, A/B testing, and heuristic evaluations, I was able to identify user pain points and optimize the digital experience for Costa Rican football fans.
One of the key learnings was the importance of an iterative design process. Through continuous prototyping and usability testing, I refined the app’s structure, navigation, and functionality to ensure an intuitive and visually engaging user experience.
This case study also reinforced my ability to build a scalable design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across multiple platforms. From Figma component libraries to high-fidelity interactive prototypes, I structured a system that allows for easy adaptation and future development.
Beyond technical execution, this project demonstrated how UX/UI design decisions impact user engagement and digital transformation. The final prototype showcased a data-driven, user-centered approach, proving how research-backed UX strategies can enhance usability, retention, and overall product success.
This was a milestone project in my UX/UI journey, further solidifying my expertise in human-centered design, usability testing, and interaction design principles. It stands as a testament to the power of user research, prototyping, and iterative refinement in crafting high-impact digital solutions.
